1. Tips for Installation of ink cartridges

  • Remove off the packing tape with "PULL" text completely before you install it

  • Push the ink cartridge into your printer until your hear the "click"

  • Most printers, there is a message coming out like "These are not geniune ink cartridges. Do you want to continue to use them?". Click "Yes" otherwise they don't work properly.

  • To achieve a good printing performance, "Head Cleaning" process is necessary after a lots printing or not printing for a long time.

2.Why I can't print?
Some printers require to accept these kinds of compatible ink cartridges, like the printers using Epson T038/T039. So please install these cartridges through "Printer-->Property-->Maintenance-->Cartridge Replacement", then follow the instructions to install the cartridges. And click "Yes" when the screen shows "Do you accept to install the cartridges". Otherwise, the printer does not work.

3. Why the colors can't be printed out or printed unproperly?

Firstly, check if the tape on the top of the ink cartridge is removed. Remove it if not, otherwise the air can't goes into the ink cartridges properly so the ink can't flow to the print head properly.

If the problem still exists, then follow the below steps.

This will be happened when you stop printing colors for a long time or after printing a lots of papers, because the colors printer head is blocked by the dust or dried ink.
The problem can be solved by doing "Printer Head cleaing" process (Some time the process need to be done several times) through following steps (There is some difference among different printers).

(1) Go to "Control Panel" and find the printer icon.

(2) Right click the printer icon and then left click "Property".

(3) Click "Maintenance" on "Property" Screen.

(4) Click "Head cleaning" button (Similar like this for different printers).

(5) Click 'Start" to do the process.

(6) Do "Nozzle Check" in "Maintenance" and print the results after the "Head Cleaning" process.

(7) If the performance is improved but still not good enough, then do the process again until all colors printed out properly.

4. Why the colors printed out are different from what they are seen on the screen?

If all the colors printed out in the "Nozzle Check" above, it means that the ink cartridges work well. So why the colors printed out still are different from what they are seen on the screen?

It is important to know that printer prints in CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black), so if your file is RGB (Normally, An image seen on your monitor is displayed using the RGB color space), the color that prints will be different from what you see on the screen. Because some colors that can be viewed on your monitor, cannot be achieved or will look much different in the printing process.
Bridging the gap between the two has long been a challenge for printer manufacturers, as well as for those involved in the photo processing business.
At some point you are going to need to convert your RGB image(s) into CMYK. This is pretty simple to do in Photoshop and other graphic programs. Converting your image to the CMYK color space will produce a more accurate preview of the printed version, but the preview will not be perfect.

5. Why the ink levels are very low after putting on the new ink cartridges?

This may be happened for some printers if you don't reset the counter.

6. What's Compatible Inkjet Cartridge, Remanufactured Inkjet Cartridge or New Inkjet?
Compatible Inkjet Cartridges:
Brand new cartridges that are not made by the OEM. They are just like your original Ink cartridges and meet the same standards.
In most cases, compatible inkjet print cartridges perform the exact same function as their expensive counterparts, but for much less. The printer warranty will not expire by using compatible inkjet print cartridges. HP and Lexmark do not allow compatible inkjet print cartridges due to the patent they have on the printhead.
Remanufactured Inkjet Cartridges:
Recycled printer ink cartridges that have been refilled with ink and given brand new printer heads. Remanufactured inkjet cartridges are a just as good and they are a great way to save on printer ink cartridges.
New Inkjet Printer Cartridges :
(Original Equipment Manufacturer) inkjet cartridges are direct from the original makers of the printer ink cartridges that came with your printer. New printer ink cartridges are most expensive.

7. What is the Proper way to handle cartridges?
Cartridges should always be handled with care. Do not touch the nozzles. You should keep your cartridges in the protective wrapping until you place them in the printer. If you keep empty cartridges to refill later, they should be stored in an airtight container until you refill them.

8. What to do when cartridge's nozzles are blocked with dried ink?
Place the clogged nozzles in a shallow dish filled with warm water and soak them until dried ink begins to flow freely from the nozzle. After several minutes of letting the dried ink flow, remove the nozzle from the water and gently dry it with a soft tissue or cotton swab. Reinstall the cartridge and run the print head cleaning mechanism (described in your printer's operating manual). If this does not work, repeat the procedure. If your cartridge still does not print after repeating, you will need to purchase a new cartridge because the print head of your existing cartridge is probably damaged.

9. What are the probable Causes for the damage of cartridge nozzles?

- The cartridge head is damaged by excessive use while the ink is insufficient.
- The nozzle is logged after being left unused for a long time.
- The contact surface at the side of the cartridge is wet or damaged so that electric signals cannot be transmitted normally.
- Damaged head or contact surface.
- Due to the cartridge's natural characteristics such as end of its lifespan.

10. How to maintenance ink jet Cartridges?

- When you print a large quantity of papers, check the remainder of the ink or status of the head by looking at the print outputs.
- When you haven't used the printer for a long time, clean the head before print.
- Replenish the color cartridge even when only one color is exhausted.
- When you won't be using the printer for an extended period, keep the cartridge in a cartridge storage. If your printer doesn't have one, wrap the head part with a plastic wrap to keep it from air contact.
- Caution: Do NOT use general cellophane tape.
- When the nozzle dried up after having been neglected for a long time, soak it in warm water of 40 to 50 ¡ãC, completely remove the water from the cartridge, install, clean the head, then use it.
(It is very difficult to recover a damaged nozzle.)
